Video: CRAOLA X SERK paint Hope Gallery Wall

On a sunny day in September Greg "Craola" Simkins, the famed artist and LA graffiti writer, made his way to Hope Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut. Armed with an arsenal of Montana Cans, Greg and artist Adrian Dominic (SERK) teamed up and spent most of the day brightening up the main wall of the prestigious tattoo gallery.

Paradise Tattoo Gathering

Well I just got back from my trip to Massachusetts for the Paradise Tattoo Gathering. I taught a painting seminar out there, met a ton of great people, Got to hang out with my friend and publisher Brett Bryan and stay with my friend and long time favorite tattoo artist Joe Capobianco. At the same time I didn't do a good job of taking picture, but luckily my friend Carlos East was there with his camera skills and filled me in on aspects of my trip. So here are some photos of the seminar I taught (thanks to all of you who came out to take my class) and the wall that I and Adrian Dominic painted at Joe's shop in Connecticut, Hope Gallery, more on Adrian in a future post:

Album Cover Artwork for Monte Pittman

I recently had the opportunity to work on my friend, Monte Pittman's new album cover entitled,"Pain, Love & Destiny." The story of The Black Rabbit of INLE is a shared theme in both of our works which made this image an obvious choice for the album cover, especially since once of the songs (I am the Black Rabbit) is specifically about INLE.

The new album will be released less than a month away. More info here.

New Interview at

A new interview...

Regardless of what you know him as, Greg “Craola” Simkins has made an indelible mark on various sectors of the modern art world. In remaining unfettered by the constraints imposed by clan-like divisions in the art world, Greg has solidified his post as one of the most gifted surrealist painters around. As part of a scene who’s contributors are increasingly replete, his work stands out as a hallmark of uncompromised vision, as dark and abstruse images reveal Simkins’ exceptional skill.
